EVENTS

SVEA works with Curry and Charlottesville schools to hold events each semester that both benefit both our communities and help foster our growth as educators.



Volunteering:

• After-school events, like SoulFest at Venable

• Projects in Curry, like the ongoing Children's Library project in the Teacher's Ed office

Professional Development:

• Monthly teaching workshops to explore niche topics that might not be covered in Curry classes (vote for your favorites here to see them on the calendar soon!)

• General body meetings with guest speakers who share tips on interviewing, first-year teaching, classroom management, and much more!​​

​

Social:

• Networking events co-hosted with Curry's Ed Council-- come meet peers and faculty from Curry!

• Club events (complete with food!)
