Who we are and what we do

The Student Virginia Education Association (SVEA) is the largest professional organization for pre-service educators in the state. We are the student branch of the Virginia Education Association, which is an affiliate of the larger National Education Association.

​

The UVA chapter of the SVEA seeks to provide teacher-candidates with resourceful tools and meaningful opportunities to become involved on and off campus. Our chapter hopes to participate in numerous community service opportunities and also provide workshops that prepare future teachers to become effective teachers. 

 

This organization is not open only to those wanting to pursue teaching as a career, but also to all other education-related parties (administrators, counselors, special education service providers, and all other school-related professions). We are here to prepare YOU for your future!
